Yay vegan options were all that and dim sum! The Fried Tangyuan mochi bites were an absolute treat! Crispy chewy and super yummy. The vegan curry fried rice was my favorite, sweet salty and a little spicy. The Shroomami Udon came in second. Buddha fried wontons were crispy and the sauce that came with it was perfect. The vegan mushroom bao was fluffy and filled with umami deliciousness. This place is packed with unique flavors, generous portions,and style. Legit coffee bar with cocktails and beer. Plenty of parking and excellent service. They have a whole pastry case filled with delights. Great atmosphere and I can’t wait to return!

Far more that your average coffee shop Retro House is a destination. The eclectic artwork and decor immediately grabs your eyes upon entering. A collection of local artist's works fill the walls most of which are available for sale. Music plays loud enough to be noticed but not to distract. The menu is clearly an intentional combination of the familiar and new experiences. Most coffee shops have such limited menus that regardless of the meal time you cannot find a real meal AND enjoy any variety of coffees, lattes, etc. Retro House has a full offering of light bites, breakfast type pastries and entress. I noticed while visiting that they host tastings and coffee related educational gatherings which is VERY cool. The staff instantly greeted me and was very open to explaining offerings as well. I look forward to returning for a full meal and to try a broader array of items. If you are even remotely near downtown Tampa drive the few blocks north to Retro House Coffee Bar & Asian Bistro if is well worth it.

What an awesome bistro & cafe. The coffee “Full Moon” was amazing, no bitter taste, the beans were well roasted not burnt tasting like national chains. The Fried Rice with BBQ Pork was tasty. Saved some for my roommate at home, otherwise I would have finished it all. This is a beautiful cafe with local art and wonderful atmosphere. I will be back and will be brining friends.

*** A MUST TRY ASIAN BISTRO / COFFEE SHOP WITH A PARKING LOT AND WIFI IN WALKING DISTANCE FROM CHANNELSIDE *** Stumbled upon this little gem and started with a ceremonial grade matcha latte 🍵 FOOD: If you like dim sum style cuisine- this should be added to your list! Everything is made from scratch and you can tell! ORDERED: crab Rangoon egg rolls 🦀 (cream cheese, onion, scallions, krabstick, celery), the lemongrass chicken dumplings 🥟 with herb infused soy sauce, and the Har Gow 🍤 (light shrimp dumplings with a housemade chili crisp) — all were delicious!! Fresh, flavorful and great textures! Good music playing with casual cool vibes! They have featured artwork from local artists for sale and I was informed they also have events and live music / open mic type things there too (I’m sure you have to follow on social or call for more info) Overall- HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What a vibe! An absolute joy of a dining experience. The fried rice and bao were top notch. They also promote and sell local artists work on their walls as part of the decor. All around wonderful experience. Can't wait to go back and try more, especially for bunch. We went for dinner. The brunch menu looked just as amazing if not more. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
